Nerdfighters, everywhere!

Yeah, you probably don't get the reference. Look up the VlogBrothers on youtube, please. For me?
I didnt actually wear the leggings to school today, I put them on this evening when I went to the EF tour meeting.I can't seem to understand the concept of "cold" in the mornings when I getting dressed for school. I think tomorrow my outfit will involve pants. Maybe.

Anyways, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for the blog? For example, would you like me to do some inspiration posts, or maybe interview my favourite bloggers, (Yeah, I'm stealing that idea from *The Clothes Horse) or a post of things I'd like to own for my wardrobe, or maybe you'd like to kick start my Fashion Design career and challenge me to pull out my sewing machine to try to make something for a barbie (Uh, I really need a kick in the pants.) rather than just outfit posts with random things in between. It's up to you, what ever you'd like to see me do, I'll try it. Unless I don't think it's something I'd like, but I will most likely try it.

You be the artist, and make me out of clay

A Tale of Two Pretties

Once upon a time, a girl called Michelle was looking through pictures on Lookbook.nu.
There she found the profiles of 2 girls.

*Hedvig, and

*Elin.

Michelle fell absolutely in love and so wanted to share her loves with the world. The End.

*Links to their lookbooks.

LASTLY:
Thoughts on the new background?

I Can Explain.

I feel like a horrible blogger, because I make promises I dont keep. I intended to do outfit posts every day for 30 days, but I did not update yesterday, for no reason other than that I was tired and too engrossed in what I was doing to get the deed done. The activity I was so absorbed in, among a few others, was watching Gulliver's Travels. Did you expect it? Well, no, of course you didn't, because a personality is not something seen commonly on this blog. The truth is that I love to read, and learn, and watch movies in which the characters carry charm of days long ago. But I am also undeditacted and not a hard worker.
Except- I am dedicated to the world of imaginary but not reality. I am dedicated to learning and reading, devouring books with large bites, but am not dedicated to teaching others that which I am not sure I know (because I am more likely to look rediculous than sound intelligent). I like to write, thinking up plots and creating maps and character sketches and writing scenes, but never getting any farther. I want to share my ideas, but am afraid to be taken for a fool. I am exausted for trying so hard to impress others, when who should I try so hard to impress but myself? There is no "Right" way to blog. I can't help but take inspiration from other blogs, and want to write "correctly", but this a personal style fashion blog. There is no right way. For me, there is only my way, and I should better start writing that way if I want anyone to read it and not call me a failwhale. Up till now I feel like I've been a failwhale, but from now on I will try to be the ever-epic Narwhal. You know, the unicorns that that live in the water. They exist, didn't you know?

So theres this new trend

This new trend is wearing your summer clothes during autumn. It's huge, everybody is doing it-

Except really I'm just kidding, although it would be pretty funny if all of a sudden girls were wearing sun dresses and flip flops to school. This strange intro is because of what I wore today: a summer dress and a wool sweater that does an excellent job of keeping in heat, and shorts.

I'm actually in love with this dress. I have no close ups for you, unfortunately, because I kind of forgot. Tomorrow I'll update.

But while wearing summer clothes for autumn isn't actually a hot trend on the runways, it does give me more options. I feel less restricted if I can still wear my pretty summer clothes. Luckily enough I am not required to wear tights or leggings with a dress yet, as it isn't that cold.

 On another note:
My day back in school was nice, because I was unreasonably happy for a very silly and very nice reason. Then after lunch I basically fell asleep in my seat. :)

Outfit of the Day for 30 consecutive days: Days 2 & 3

What happened to yesterday's outfit is Hurricane Igor. The awful storm that took away our electricity yesterday which is why I didnt update. Being with out a stove or flushing toilet from 3:30 pm until 3 am kind of sucked, but its all good now - here at my house, but St John's east is still without power, many roads have been washed away and (the saddest news of all) an 80 year old man was swept out to sea when his driveway washed out from under him. This was easily the worst storm I've ever experienced, as most we tend to only get the end of, but the eye of the storm passed right over us yesterday. The wind was so loud, and terrifying and at one point we thought the roof was being torn off.

Not having lights made it difficult for my younger sister to take pictures of my
non-exciting outfit. This is about as good as it gets.
I went down the road next to mine and took some pictures of the damage.

Several fallen trees in a front yard

A new pond that hadnt been there before.

And then my friends and I went to the park, and had loads of fun, and walked my friend Emily home, and then Chantelle took my outfit pictures. Chantelle is starting up her own fashion blog soon, so I'll give you a link to that in a couple of days.

Outfit of the Day for 30 consecutive days, Day 1:

It's come to my attention that I kind of fail at this, so I've decided to set a goal for my self: to have an outfit post for 30 days, in a row. Today I asked my sister for her picture skills and her time, and we got right down to business. We had fun too, because, theres less of a chance of being emarassed if your neighbor sees you if your sister is taking the pictures instead of using a self timer. So I got Abigail to promise to help me for the next 30 days and at the end there will be some fun outtakes.
Also, if you're not as obsessive about this blog as I am, you may not have noticed my 3rd bloglovin' follower. Go followers! Yeah! (I should get a t-shirt or something that says Go Followers! #1 Fan! Cause you know I'm your #1 fan for reading my blog, thanks guys!)

I had to picnik collage this, on account of blogger being an ass about pictures.

Outfit Details:
Jacket: H&M
TankTop: Urban Planet
Jeans: Eclipse
Sneakers: Walmart
Those sneakers are just about my least favourite in the world, but seeing as my converse are missing and my other pair of canvas sneakers are falling apart, im kind of stuck with these from a few years ago when my ideas about fashion were kind of meh. Back when I didnt care at all. My collection of shoes is rather lacking, unfortunately. I feel this outfit would have went better with stompy boots, but alas, I have no Doc Martens.

Outfit of Yesterday

If you're one of those rare people that don't know me outside of my blog, and you're wondering where I've run off too, never fear. I only ran across Australia in 7 days, I'm back now. It's all good.
/jokes

What actually kept me from posting was not a marathon down under, but a missing memory card. I found it though, so now you get to stare at my extremely beautiful images. I say that with irony because as I'm typing it's 11:30 and I'm lazy.
Notice how the focus of this photograph is my arm. Atleast that is a part of my outfit, I suppose.
Next, is a show of my own creativity.*
Excellent. >_<
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night/christmas to you all! And a Happy New Year!

*Im not trying to pole dance, believe me. I just fail at climbing beds and also owning a tripod.

Outfit Details
Raglan Tee: Urban Planet
Plaid Skirt: Suzy Shier
Unseen Cardigan that I will probably show you tmr: Fairweather
and also my flats that I've worn in every post so far. Those too.

Last moment Mention: Have you seen someone start a "30 day challenge" on facebook? Here it seems to spreading like wildfire. I thought it was kind of rediculous, but interesting, so here's my take:

Day 1
Day 2
This is kind of fun, actually.

1st Day

While today was my first day of school, and my first day of high school, it wasnt that interesting. Basically, for 2 hours we sat in our home rooms and learned the rules and regulations again. I did see some friends that I hadn't seen over the summer, which was great but bittersweet in that our reunion was cut short by our being required to go to our homerooms. For 2 hours. To hear about the missed assignment policy and other excellent useful information. I think the most exciting part was getting ready for school after 2 monthes of sleeping in. It was also my sister's first day of junior high, (Here the school goes 7-9,10-12) and my older sister's first day of classes at College of the North Atlantic. I, of course, creeped them like is my regular habit.
Abigail on the left and Megan on the right. :)
And then I handed the camera to my mom for our annual "First Day of School" picture.
Loving the nerd look. :D

I got a few more pictures of my not-so-interesting day, but they're all of people, and now that I think of it, I should probably ask permission to paste their face on here. Not that many people read my blog, but some do and maybe someday more will and someone will go through my archives and creep more creepily than I do. Hmm.. *thinks away*

Hope your year is great,
Michelle : D

Outfit of Yesterday

I have a sort of outfit post from yesterday, when my friends and I went to Jungle Jims and then the park. It was excellent. I did not get photos of my outfit that were intended to show it off, but I did get this:
Tire swings are amazing. Also,
Surprise!
I am now a blondie. Excellent! And I'm not being sarcastic if it seems that way. Can't stay and chat though, I've got school in the morning and I need my sleep!

Outfit of the Day

My mom took my sister and I school shopping on Saturday, which was very fun. Very much fun it was. :D (If you haven't noticed, I like shopping. Lots and lots indeed.)

Cardigan//2nd Hand, Suzy Shier
Shorts//Urban Planet
Cami/ Urban Planet
 Socks//Wally's World
Necklace//Canada's Wonderland :D
Bag//Bentley

That plaid bag is actually a devine lunch bag. Devine because it is pink and plaid and looks nice, lunch bag because plastic grocery bags just don't cut it anymore. :P
And I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'm actually kind of scared of fall. Not of school, not of my hectic Grade 10 schedule, but of the fact that Newfoundland gets chilly; fast. Our winters last a long time, so until the beginning of May there will be snow on the ground. I don't know what I'm going to do... freeze, I guess? Not much of a choice, because I'll shiver wether I'm in snowpants or jeans, anyway. And I'd rather walk to the bus in jeans if I can make the decision. Fortunately our fall is off to a good start, with today having a high of 29 degrees and all (In september!). But the temperature can drop quickly. We've had blizzards in the first week of October. All I can do is keep my hopes up, I suppose! Anyway, here are a few shots from my day. I woke up at 6:30 and got this, which I later edited in picnik because I'm a cheat but it was nice before the editing too. :)
I purged my closet again to make room for new clothes. Unfortunately the closet in my room is actually quite small, and I have to share with my younger sister. I can only hang clothes in it because the floor and the top shelf are covered in junk. Anyways, I thought I needed new jeans. Strangely when I brought them home and counted them all, there were a total of 11 pairs of jeans, a pair of jean capris plus my two pairs of dress pants. And this after I threw out a pair with a large rip in the knee. I wonder why I thought my stock of denim pants was low?

Finally, I'm showing off my lovely lovely purple 25% percent wool sweater from Joe Fresh. I have to be careful with wool because I have really sensitive skin but this sweater hardly itches. :)
Well, Good morning/Night! Perhaps I should get in to the habit of posting during the day instead of at 3:40 am when I can't sleep. Hmm.

Edit: Psst, I have a secret. I'm dying my hair tomorrow! But the secret is I'm not telling you what colour. And bytheway, self, how on earth do I fit 11 pairs of jeans in my closet? Insanity. It must be like Wonderland or something in there.

Seeing as I am awake,

I should do something worthwhile. So you get to enjoy some snaps of my experience in Quebec. :)

I like photographing people more than places and objects. My friends Aaron and Renee. :)

Flea Market Finds

GUESS WHAT GUYS I HAVE 6 FOLLOWERS YEAH : D

Okay, so now that thats over with, I bring you my flea market finds! (And grammar mistakes!)

What's that? You don't remember me telling you about a flea market? Oh, thats right. I told you about it a week ago. I wouldn't expect you to remember it.

*Smacks self*
And be warned, I am ridiculous and I buy ridiculous things. There were no antique or vintage items to be found.

The Loot (well, part of it) :

First is this necklace.
It's a small mickey mouse clock with those little fake jewels in the ears. Unfortunately the chain burst so I'll have to replace it.

Next is an Eeyore magnet.
He's made from wood and is super cool.
Why yes, I am super ridiculous. Extremely. But I couldn't resist these adorable little pillows because it has duckies and so does my baby blanket and I had feelings of nostalgia (Yay for run-on sentances!). Another plus is that it teaches you how to count. Awesome. (And fragment sentances!)
You must be thinking, "How have you gotten to 2010 without reading Harry Potter? What is wrong with you?" Never fear, fellow HP readers. My sister's copy is falling apart, and I've always been curious as to what happens on page 8. It has an inscription to "Ashley" on the inside cover, but it seems like she never read it because it's in excellent condition. It even includes page 8.
And that's it! Well, not really. I also bought the first season of M.A.S.H. but it mysteriously disappeared. Maybe my mom had something to do with that. Or I left it downstairs.
I also bought 2 raglan t-shirts from Urban Planet, a Student Price Card and 4 Laura Secord  chocolate bars (2 for $3 on sale) which I have happily eaten.  Toffee cruch is the best.
Also, no outfit today because I am in sweat pants and that is unoriginal.

Good night, blog/ HP readers, for I have to get up tomorrow morning for some school shopping!
~Michelle~

Ps. This is my small albeit interesting magnet collection thus far.
The white one says "Canadian Polar Bear in Snow Storm."
My friends laughed at me when I bought it.
